Screenwriting

Luke Allen has been writing screenplays since the age of 14. He specialises in comedy and comedy-drama.

Reduced To Clear, a comedy short co-written by Luke, was described by renowned script editor, Emma Freud as "So clever, so witty, so many twists and turns - the comic weirdness of The League of Gentlemen set in an Oxfam shop!", with Love, Rosie director, Christian Ditter also claiming that he "loved the writing" of the short.

Luke briefly dabbled in drama writing through his short films Unstable, and If Only Avenuewith the former being described by critic Rachel Pullen as "British youth perfectly captured on the screen".  This drama work serves to help Luke through any comedy-drama scripts.

Luke is currently writing and producing (and is set to star in) his new sketch show, Something Sketchy, as well as working with comedian Andy Kind to adapt his novel, The Gig Delusion, as a feature-length screenplay.
